Saudi Arabia’s Seha Virtual Hospital and the Innovation Empowerment Center have secured the Zimam Digital Health Award in the category of Digital Health Organization of the Year, according to Arab News.
The recognition came during the Saudi Health Ministry’s participation in the eighth Zimam Digital Health Forum in Dubai.
The award stands as a testament to the Kingdom’s a forward-thinking approach of adopting cutting-edge digital health strategies to boost healthcare quality.
Saudi Arabia has set the healthcare sector at the forefront of its Vision 2030 goals, unfolding a new chapter of advanced and accessible medical care that fosters the well-being of Saudi citizens.
In February 2022, the Kingdom launched Seha Virtual Hospital to further enhance the digitization of its healthcare sector.
With a bold goal to redefine the meaning of virtual medicine, the hospital seeks to elevate its use of modern medical technologies and improve service quality and operational efficiency.
Now, patients can access specialized physicians without the need to travel across the Kingdom’s regions. Moreover, they are no longer confined to standard clinic hours.
The virtual hospital goes beyond standard video consultations as patients can visit their local hospital and attend a real-time live video clinical session with top specialists from across the Kingdom.
Crucially, medical teams can take vital signs, run tests, and share X-rays instantly with a network of specialists during the sessions.
The Zimam Award celebrates health organizations across the Middle East and North Africa that launch advanced digital health initiatives, foster local capabilities, and elevate the standards of patient care.
