Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Turki Alalshikh, officially launched the “Qatif Calendar” on Sunday, introducing a vibrant program of entertainment, sports, and cultural experiences designed to appeal to a wide range of visitors while highlighting Qatif’s distinctive coastal charm and rich heritage.
The calendar features a diverse mix of activities that celebrate the city’s identity and atmosphere. Along the Qatif Corniche, visitors can enjoy cycling races, marathons, and fishing competitions that combine excitement, endurance, and Qatif’s strong connection to the sea. These events also offer both participants and spectators the opportunity to engage with the city’s scenic coastline and outdoor lifestyle.
Among the standout attractions is “Souq Al-Qatif,” a heritage-inspired marketplace that blends traditional culture with a modern visitor experience, creating a lively gathering space for families and tourists alike.
The calendar also showcases classic car exhibitions across the city, giving automotive enthusiasts the chance to admire rare and iconic vintage vehicles that reflect the evolution of automotive design and history.
Additional experiences include cinematic attractions, entertainment and shopping zones, and “Rimal Al-Qatif,” a destination dedicated to adventure lovers, featuring desert activities, off-roading, and dune-bashing experiences.
Finally, the launch of the “Qatif Calendar” is part of the GEA’s broader initiative to expand seasonal event calendars across the Kingdom, supporting quality of life and providing residents and visitors with immersive entertainment experiences that combine culture, recreation, and community engagement.
