The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has announced that the Riyadh Region Municipality will serve as a strategic partner for the 21st UNIDO General Conference, to be held in Riyadh at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center from November 23 to 27, 2025.
This partnership underscores the municipality’s key role in advancing sustainable industrial development and fostering stronger integration between municipal and industrial sectors. It also highlights Riyadh’s commitment to creating a modern, attractive urban environment that supports industrial investment. Through its participation, the municipality will present its initiatives in infrastructure development, digital transformation, environmental sustainability, and investment facilitation.
The conference aims to drive progress in several priority areas, including enhancing international cooperation in sustainable industrial development, promoting innovation, accelerating the transition to cleaner and more efficient industries, and attracting global investments while strengthening transparency and industrial governance. It represents a significant milestone in advancing global collaboration toward an innovation- and knowledge-based economy.
With participation from all 173 member states of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the event will bring together ministers, policymakers, industry leaders, experts, investors, and representatives from across the industrial spectrum. The conference underscores Saudi Arabia’s growing influence on the global stage and its remarkable progress in industrial transformation.
