Saudi, Bahraini FMs Lead Joint Executive Committee Meeting

Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met today in Manama with Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed the strong bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain and discussed the latest regional and international developments, as well as issues of mutual interest.

Following their talks, the ministers co-chaired the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council. The Council is jointly chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

At the start of the session, Dr. Al Zayani welcomed Prince Faisal, expressing his pride in the deep-rooted historical ties and strong fraternal bonds uniting the two nations and their peoples—relations that continue to receive the highest attention and care from both countries’ leaderships.

Prince Faisal, in turn, thanked Dr. Al Zayani for his warm welcome and hospitality. He commended the Executive Committee meeting as a reflection of the shared commitment and sincere determination of both sides to strengthen bilateral cooperation, coordination, and integration across all sectors. He emphasized the joint efforts to further develop initiatives and projects under the guidance of the wise leadership of both kingdoms.

Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council

The Executive Committee reviewed the annual performance report of the committees stemming from the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council for 2024–2025. It also viewed a presentation assessing the performance of joint objectives and initiatives, as well as the progress made by relevant authorities in implementing agreed goals.

The committee approved the work schedule of the Council and its subcommittees for 2025–2026 and directed the heads of subcommittees to continue efforts toward completing the implementation of approved initiatives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee chairmen signed the minutes of the Executive Committee meeting.
