Defense Ministry’s Health Services Unveils First Mobile Field Hospital at Holy Sites

In a landmark initiative, the Ministry of Defense’s Health Services has launched its first-ever mobile field hospital at the holy sites. This effort is part of a broader strategy to enhance healthcare services during the Hajj season, ensuring pilgrims receive high-quality, safe, and comprehensive medical care.
The cutting-edge mobile hospital consists of 29 trailers and 26 modular units, encompassing all core hospital components. Moreover, these include a main entrance, connecting corridors, emergency exits, and essential service areas—enabling full medical functionality in a mobile, field-based setting.
The facility features inpatient wards with a 50-bed capacity, a fully equipped pharmacy with a dedicated medicine storage area, a radiology suite, a medical laboratory, and several specialized clinics. It is also outfitted with an advanced surgical operating room, recovery and sterilization zones, intensive care and observation units, and a dedicated emergency department.

The deployment of this mobile field hospital highlights the Ministry of Defense’s crucial role in supporting pilgrims and bolstering the healthcare infrastructure at the holy sites. Finally, this initiative aims to ensure that pilgrims can perform their rituals safely, comfortably, and with peace of mind.
