Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has held a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Palestine Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi in Ramallah, Arab News reported.
During the meeting, the president has honored Al-Sudairi with the Star of Al-Quds medal.
Furthermore, Abass extended his greetings to King Salman and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Meanwhile, he commended the Kingdom’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their cause.
Abbas also praised Al-Sudairi’s efforts to further boost the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Palestine.
Being appointed in August 2023, the Saudi Ambassador became the first non-resident Saudi Ambassador to Palestine and Consul-General of Jerusalem since 1948.
Accordingly, he visited Ramallah for the first time in September 2024 to present his credentials to President Abbas.
