Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah unveiled that GCC residents are now allowed to perform Umrah pilgrimage at any time of the year, Gulf News reported.
The Ministry also indicated that the authorities are currently boosting the quality of services ensuring seamless and smooth access to the holy sites in Mecca and Madinah.
Umrah Visas
Furthermore, it explained GCC residents can now obtain their Umrah visas through various streamlined options.
Therefore, pilgrims can purchase an Umrah package via Saudi Arabia’s official digital gateway for pilgrimage services, the Nusuk platform. In addition, they can apply for a visa through accredited visa centers.
Transit Visas
As for travelers transiting through the Kingdom on Saudia Airlines or Flynas, they can acquire a transit visa, which provides them with the opportunity to perform Umrah during their stopovers.
Tourism Visas
Visitors can also get their tourism visas through the electronic visa platform, which grants access to perform Umrah and visit holy sites across the Kingdom.
Clearly, the ministry stressed that all visitors must have an Umrah permit via the Nusuk app before their arrival at the Grand Mosque.
