Saudi Arabia to Take Part in Kuala Lumpur Book Fair as Guest of Honor

Saudi Arabia has been named Guest of Honor at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair 2026, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Set to run from May 29 to June 7 at the World Trade Center in Kuala Lumpur, the 43rd edition of the book fair will bring together a vast array of local and international publishers, offering a wide range of books across genres, languages, and formats.

Saudi Arabia’s outstanding participation stands as a testament to the deep-rooted ties between the Kingdom and Malaysia, while also underscoring the broadening collaboration between the two nations in cultural and intellectual spheres.

During the fair, the Saudi Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission will launch a curated cultural program featuring several seminars and panel discussions headed by pioneering intellectuals, authors, and subject-matter experts.

The Kingdom’s pavilion will showcase a wide range of exhibits, such as traditional handicrafts, Saudi fashion, and folk musical instruments, as well as multiple exhibitions of manuscripts and replicas of archaeological artifacts.

Interestingly, the pavilion will further boast screenings of selected Saudi films, in addition to the participation of various government bodies, cultural institutions, and specialized organizations.
