Kuwait’s Int’l Airport Targeted by Drone, Injuries Reported

Kuwait’s General Authority of Civil Aviation reported that a drone struck Kuwait International Airport, causing minor injuries to several workers and inflicting limited damage to the passenger terminal (T1), according to Al Arabiya.

The authority’s official spokesperson Mr. Abdullah Al-Rajhi affirmed that the relevant authorities swiftly activated the approved emergency protocols.

Al-Rajhi added that the authorities quickly managed the incident and secured the site.

Ongoing efforts are now focused on assessment, medical treatment, and operational adjustments in line with the highest safety standards.

The United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran on Saturday, targeting its leadership and triggering a new conflict in the Middle East.

In response, Iran launched a counterattack in Bahrain, Kuwait and Abu Dhabi as a retaliatory move, while launching barrages of missiles and drones toward Israel.

Kuwaiti authorities emphasized that the situation is fully under control by the relevant national authorities, noting that the safety of passengers and staff remains the highest priority.

They also said that they would provide the media with any updates as soon as they become available.
