68 non-Arab publishing houses participate in The Riyadh International Book
The Riyadh International Book Fair 2022 opened its doors to visitors last Thursday, and will continue until Saturday, October 8, in its usual location in the front of Riyadh, under the slogan “Culture Classes”.
Over ten days, a comprehensive cultural program will be presented that covers all aspects of creativity, and the sister Republic of Tunisia will be present as a guest of honor, with the participation of 1,200 publishing houses and acting houses representing 32 countries.
The exhibition receives its visitors daily from 11 am to 12 midnight, except Friday from 2 pm to 12 midnight.
The pavilions of publishing houses present rare and recent books in various literary, cultural, cognitive, and scientific fields.
The pavilions of cultural bodies and scientific and academic institutions in the Kingdom also enrich their visitors with their exhibits of manuscripts and literature and awareness-raising activities in some cultural sectors.
There is also a children’s suite designed specifically to enhance the love of reading and writing among young people and develop their passion in various creative fields.
Selection of writers and authors
According to the Saudi Press Agency “SPA”, the exhibition will present in its cultural program a selection of writers and authors who will talk to visitors about their books through a series of interviews “The Book of Talks”.
There are also seminars, cultural lectures, and dialogue sessions that host thinkers and creators on various topics.
The cultural program also includes “poetry evenings” and live cooking workshops, in addition to more than 150 workshops in various cultural fields.
In addition, “Al Hosh Cinema” will present its fans with cinematic shows, concerts, and theatrical performances.
The exhibition celebrates Tunisian culture – the guest of honor of the Riyadh International Book Fair 2022 – through several activities in Tunisian heritage and culture.
Where it hosts great thinkers, writers, intellectuals, poets, and specialists in Tunisian culture and heritage, in addition to concerts during which Tunisian artists shake hands with their fans and fans.
The Riyadh International Book Fair returns with a renewed look filled with the colors of culture, literature, and knowledge, as the largest cultural event in 2022.
