
The 15th General Assembly of the Arab Organization for Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) convened today in Jeddah, presided over by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the General Court of Audit (GCA). The session brought together heads of supreme audit institutions from member states, along with senior representatives from relevant regional and international organizations.

The Assembly, which will run through Thursday, commenced with opening remarks by GCA President Dr. Hussam Alangari. He stressed the need for Arab supreme audit institutions to keep pace with global economic and technological advancements.
“This requires ongoing evaluation of work methodologies and the effective adoption of necessary technologies and resources to strengthen their role and ensure optimal performance,” he said.
Dr. Alangari also highlighted the vital importance of enhancing collaboration among Arab audit institutions. He noted that such cooperation contributes to ARABOSAI’s institutional development, elevates its regional and international profile, and supports improved government performance and public financial management throughout the Arab world.
