The Board of Peace will provide strategic oversight, mobilize international resources, and ensure accountability during the transitional period in Gaza in line with Trump’s peace plan for the Strip.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump announced the formation of the Board, calling it “the Greatest and Most Prestigious Board ever assembled at any time, any place.”

Executive Board

The Board of Peace will comprise a founding Executive Board to carry out the Board of Peace’s vision. This executive board will involve leaders with expertise in diplomacy, development, infrastructure, and economic strategy.

Each member will manage a specific portfolio critical to Gaza’s stabilization, such as governance capacity-building, regional relations, reconstruction, investment attraction, large-scale funding, and capital mobilization.

In light of this, the revealed members are:

  • US State Secretary Marco Rubio;
  • US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff;
  • Trump’s advisor Jared Kushner;
  • Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair;
  • US billionaire businessman Marc Rowan;
  • Trump’s deputy national security advisor Robert Gabriel; and
  • World Bank head Ajay Banga.

Gaza Representative

Trump has also appointed Aryeh Lightstone and Josh Gruenbaum as senior advisors to support this framework. They will lead day-to-day execution in addition to ensuring the successful implementation of the Board’s diplomatic mandate.

Meanwhile, the Bulgarian politician and former UN special coordinator for the Middle East peace process, Nickolay Mladenov, will serve as the High Representative for Gaza, handling liaison with the Palestinian technocratic committee.

He will also support the Board’s oversight of all aspects of Gaza’s governance, reconstruction, and development, while ensuring coordination across civilian and security pillars, the White House said.

Gaza Governance

On Wednesday, Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye announced the formation of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), under the chairmanship of Ali Abdel Hamid Shaath. The committee will work under the supervision of the Board of Peace.

Moreover, the White House announced the appointment of Major General Jasper Jeffers as the Commander of the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza. He will be responsible for leading security operations, supporting comprehensive demilitarization of the Strip, and enabling the safe delivery of humanitarian aid and reconstruction materials.

Gaza Executive Board

The Board of Peace will also involve a Gaza Executive Board to support the work of Mladenov and the Palestinian committee to ensure effective governance as well as the delivery of high-quality services that advance peace, stability, and prosperity for the people of Gaza.
