US, Israel, Europe Seek to Bring Iran ‘to Its Knees’: Iranian President

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on Saturday that his nation faces a ‘total war’ waged by the United States, Israel, and Europe, according to Reuters.

“In my opinion, we are at total war with the United States, Israel and Europe. They want to bring our country to its knees,” Pezeshkian told the official site of supreme leader Ali Khamenei, six months after Israel and the US launched strikes on Iran.

Pezeshkian also warned that this war is worse than the brutal conflict with Iraq that ravaged both nations and claimed hundreds of thousands of lives.

Nuclear Talks

Iran and the US held five rounds of nuclear talks before Israel targeted Iranian nuclear facilities on June 13. The US later joined the conflict, bombing three nuclear sites.

The talks faced key stumbling blocks such as uranium enrichment on Iranian soil, a step met with utter rejection by European powers which claimed that Tehran is enriching uranium for unpeaceful purposes.

Snapback Sanctions

On September 28, the E3_ Britain, France, and Germany_ reimposed sanctions on Tehran after they claimed that Iran has violated a 2015 deal that aimed at halting it from developing a nuclear weapon.

Pezeshkian’s remarks came after Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed his intension to brief Trump that any expansion ‌of ‌Iran’s ‌ballistic missile program threatens Israel’s security and could require swift action.

Growing Concerns

These findings show ongoing developments at one of the Iran’s most sensitive nuclear sites.

The report claimed that Iran has installed the new covering to recover materials from the rubble while limiting outside surveillance.
