Turkish Defense Ministry announces the departure of 25-grain ships from Ukraine ports since the crisis
A new ship is on its way to depart from Ukrainian ports, after the agreement between Russia and Ukraine, to allow the departure of grain ships.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that a new ship loaded with grain left the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk, Today, Thursday.
This brought the total number of ships that sailed from the Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea to 25.
Loaded with Corn
it also added that the I Maria, which is flying the flag of the Central American country of Belize, was loaded with corn.
it indicated that four other ships will arrive at Ukraine’s ports today as well, to load them with grain.
It is noteworthy that Kyiv and Moscow signed an agreement late last month (July 22, 2022) in Turkey, allowing the former to resume its shipment of grain from the Black Sea to world markets.
At the time, the United Nations announced that a joint committee of the organization and the two conflicting countries and Ankara would work to inspect the grain ships, to ensure that no weapons were transferred.
This agreement came after months of accusations between the Russian and Ukrainian authorities of causing a global food crisis, threatening navigation in the Black Sea, and stealing grain and crops.
It is noteworthy that since the launch of the Russian military operation on Ukrainian territory on February 24, the Russians have established almost complete control over the Black Sea.
Meanwhile, Ukraine accused Russia of obstructing the supply of crops, causing a global food crisis and a sharp rise in grain prices, affecting many African and Middle Eastern countries.
