The Saudi Tourism Authority today revealed details of the “Saudi Summer Excellence Awards 2024.” The awards were introduced by Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb, Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Authority, during a workshop with private sector partners last May.
This is a part of the Authority’s efforts to enhance media and marketing content with private sector partners. It also aims to highlight their role in the success and enrichment of the Saudi Summer Program 2024.
The announcement of the Summer Saudi Arabia Excellence Awards 2024 includes two award categories. The first category is for creative and talented content creators and includes three tracks:
- The Most Creative Content Track: This track highlights the Saudi Summer Program for this year and its seven tourist destinations. They are Asir, Al-Baha, Taif, the Red Sea, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Ula.
- The Track for Content Focused on Summer Destination Activities: This track covers activities such as mountain camping, hiking, marine sports, visiting heritage villages.
- The Most Comprehensive Guiding Content Track: This track provides detailed information about the Saudi Summer Program, including its destinations, activities for the year.
Finally, the winners in each track will receive a cash prize of 50,000 riyals, and will be announced through the Saudi Tourism Authority’s platforms.
Private Sector
The second category is for private sector partners and includes three tracks: the first for the best summer tourist product; the second for the top offers and packages during the Saudi Summer Program; and the third for the best marketing campaign during the program. Ten winners will be awarded, with a special invitation to World Tourism Day and free participation in an international exhibition.
As announced by the organization, the timeline for these valuable awards has been set. Submissions for outstanding entries will open on September 1, 2024. Additionally, the final deadline for receiving submissions being the end of September 30, 2024. The results will be announced on October 20, 2024. Moreover, the details on how to apply and submit entries will be provided later.
The Saudi Tourism Authority has launched the Saudi Summer Program for this year, under the slogan “Taraaha,” featuring 7 unique destinations until the end of September.
