Thursday’s Weather: Cloudy Skies with Light Rain in Some Areas
The National Center of Meteorology, in its weather report for today, forecast partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a chance of light rain over parts of the Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha regions, extending to parts of the highlands in the Makkah region. The formation of fog during the night and early morning hours is also not ruled out over parts of these areas, as well as parts of the Eastern Region.
The report indicated that surface wind movement over the Red Sea is northwesterly to northerly at a speed of 20-38 km/h in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southerly at a speed of 20-42 km/h in the southern part. Wave height ranges from 1 to 2 meters, and the sea condition is moderate. Meanwhile, surface wind movement over the Arabian Gulf is westerly to southwesterly at a speed of 10-25 km/h, with wave heights ranging from 0.5 to 1 meter, and the sea condition is light.
