Tariq Abdulhakim Museum to Celebrate 1st Anniversary with Interesting Events
The Tariq Abdulhakim Museum will host several events and activities from December 27 to celebrate its first anniversary, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Located in Jeddah’s historic Al-Balad district, the museum will commemorate the anniversary under the slogan “A Melody Between Heritage and the Future.”
Through various activities, the celebration will highlight the museum’s most significant milestones since its establishment.
Moreover, it will show its contributions to display Saudi musical heritage while boosting national identity.
To this end, the event will offer live musical performances, guided tours within the museum, theatrical activities and a light show projected onto the museum’s facade.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Tariq Abdulhakim Museum is a home for a collection of the artist’s personal belongings, musical compositions and audiovisual materials.
With the aim to preserve cultural heritage, the museum boasts a music research center, providing researchers with access to an extensive music archive.
