“Tarahum” Obtains European Accreditation
The National Committee for the Care of Prisoners, Released Persons, and Their Families, “Tarahum,” obtained second level of European accreditation from the European Quality Organization (EFQM).
European Accreditation
“Tarahum” has made noticeable strides toward upholding institutional excellence standards. These accomplishments are a result of the application of the strict guidelines set out by the European Foundation for Quality Management model.
Furthermore, Tarahum’s General Secretary, Saqr bin Muhammad Al-Qarni, stated that the committee’s efforts to conform to the European Foundation-approved model of institutional excellence have culminated in this certification.
Also, he added that obtaining this certificate enhances performance and develops the work style of the committee and its employees.
Al-Qarni received the certificate in presence of heads of sectors, directors of departments, and a representative of the European Organization for Quality.
“Tarahum”
A national charitable committee aims to care for the families of prisoners and those released, taking into account the development of its correctional programs inside prisons.
It also includes the establishment of a national committee concerned with caring for prisoners, those released, and their families. Its headquarter is basd in the Riyadh region. It is headed by Minister of Social Affairs and His Excellency the Director General of Prisons in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Representatives from relevant authorities in the governmental and private sectors also participate in its membership. It adopts the official status that enables it to cooperate with all other official bodies and to continuously cooperate with the charitable organizations.
Local and Global Awards
In addition, the committee has achieved several local and global awards for the development of its services and delivering of its community message to the beneficiaries. In addition, it contributed to strengthening its influence to meet the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
