Scientific Forum Celebrates International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The Scientific Forum’s activities commenced in observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024. The event, themed “Empowering Leadership by Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future,” was organized by the Genius Center in Qilwah and hosted by Al-Baha University.

Princess Dania and His Excellency the University President toured the accompanying exhibition, which featured contributions from 16 participating entities showcasing their services and experiences aimed at supporting persons with disabilities.

Princess Danya bint Abdullah explained in her speech delivered during the ceremonial event organized for this occasion that the forum is part of the center’s efforts and services provided to individuals with disabilities and their families. It also aims to contribute to a qualitative shift in all fields related to disability through recommendations that help improve services for persons with disabilities. She pointed out that the forum seeks to raise awareness of the importance of caring for and educating individuals with disabilities, highlighting the efforts made to serve them and their families in Al-Baha. It also emphasizes the family’s role in enhancing their quality of life, promoting universal accessibility to ensure their rights.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Princess Dania and the President of the University, honored the parties participating in the exhibition, sessions, workshops, and the organizing committee.
