The Saudi-Turkish Parliamentary Friendship Committee, chaired by Dr. Ibrahim bin Muhammad Al-Qannas, met at the Shura Council headquarters with the Republic of Turkey’s Ambassador, Amrullah Ishler, along with members from both councils.
The meeting dealt with a review of bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Turkey, especially parliamentary relations and ways to strengthen and develop them between the Shura Council and the Turkish National Assembly in a way that serves the interests of the two countries, in addition to discussing issues of common interest between the two sides.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi-Turkish Friendship Committee in the Shura Council work to develop and strengthen ties of friendship and communication between the Council. They also seek to prop up the legislative councils and parliaments in friendly countries in a way that strengthens the Kingdom’s relations externally.
The committee achieves the greatest degree of communication and coordination in various forums parliamentarism at the regional and international levels.
