The Saudi Girl Scouts have made a significant and active contribution at the 43rd World Scout Conference in Cairo, as part of the participating Saudi scout delegation, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Saudi Girl Scouts have proved the efficiency and excellence of Saudi girls in all forums. This has been evident in their active participation in the Conference’s interactive workshops, which included approaches and strategies, peace building, inclusion in scouting, and brand refresh.
Moreover, they have shined at the international evening by introducing Saudi coffee, several traditional dishes, and the finest Saudi dates.
The Saudi Girl Scouts have made significant contribution to the Saudi Scout Exhibition, where they displayed photos of Saudi scouts work to serve the community, including serving Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, and the environment.
Furthermore, they have actively participated in the Conference’s general sessions, most notably the Leadership for Success; World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) Planning Framework for the Next Three Years; Trends in the World; and the Next Scouting Strategy.
The Saudi Girl Scouts participated for the first time in the 42nd World Scout Conference, which was held virtually on August 24-29, 2021. Back then, the Chairwoman of the Saudi Girl Scout Committee, Princess Sama bint Faisal bin Abdullah, headed the Saudi delegation, which included 6 Saudi girls scouts.
The events of the 43rd World Scout Conference are running in Cairo, Egypt, from August 17-23, 2024. It is the first in-person conference since 2017. It brings together delegates from WOSM Member Organizations in 175 countries, providing a unique opportunity for Scouts to reconnect, collaborate, exchange ideas, and strengthen unity.
