Saudi-French discussions kick off on regional & international issues

The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, welcomed the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh on Sunday.

They discussed different elements of Saudi-French ties and measures to strengthen them in various sectors to serve the interests of the two friendly nations, as well as sharing perspectives on regional and international trends of mutual interest.

Ambassador Eid Al-Thaqafi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political and Economic Affairs, and Fahd bin Mayouf Al-Ruwaili, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to France, were among those in attendance at the reception.

Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and a Cabinet Member, met with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian at the ministry’s Riyadh headquarters, where the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them at all levels, as well as exchanging views on regional and international issues of importance.

Director-General of the Office of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member Ambassador Khalid bin Musaed Al-Anqari, Saudi Ambassador to France Fahd bin Mayouf Al-Ruwaili, and Director General of the General Administration of European Countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Khuzaym were among those who attended the reception.
