The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, on Friday attended the opening session of the IISS Manama Dialogue 2024 in Bahrain, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The IISS Manama Dialogue is an annual forum organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in collaboration with the Foreign Ministry of Bahrain. The event brings together ministers, policymakers and decision-makers from the Middle East, North America, Europe, Africa and Asia to discuss the most pressing security issues.
Running from December 6-8, 2024, this year’s forum focuses on the Middle East’s most pressing challenges in foreign policy, defense and security. It also addresses regional and international developments, as well as efforts made towards establishing the foundation of international peace and security.
The Saudi Foreign Minister arrived in Manama earlier on Friday. Bahrain Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, warmly received the Saudi Foreign Minister. During their meeting, Prince Faisal bin Farhan conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, to the Bahraini leadership.

Moreover, they reviewed relations between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and explored ways to strengthen joint cooperation and coordination across all levels. They also discussed the latest regional developments and efforts made to address them.
The Crown Prince of Bahrain highlighted the role of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in bolstering the Saudi-Bahraini partnership, according to the Bahrain News Agency. He also commended Saudi Arabia’s role, under the leadership of King Salman, in promoting regional security, peace, and development, and serving Arab and Islamic causes.
Furthermore, Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors to achieve shared aspirations.
