Saudi FM receives Italian counterpart in Riyadh

Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, received on Monday at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh, Mr. Luigi Di Maio, the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

At the beginning of the meeting, the two ministers noted the historical relations between the two countries and the two friendly peoples,

the meeting is coinciding with the 90th anniversary of the beginning of diplomatic relations between the two countries, dating back to 1932.

The two ministers reviewed the highlights of the work of the twelfth session of the Joint Saudi-Italy Committee, which was held today in the capital, Riyadh.

The meeting aimed to strengthen joint action and bilateral relations in all areas of cooperation, in addition to discussing regional and international developments and efforts made in their regard.

The two ministers touched on the most prominent investment opportunities offered on the sidelines of the Saudi-Italian Investment Forum, which was hosted in Riyadh today.

The forum was attended by several government agencies and major private sector companies in the two friendly countries, to explore investment opportunities in various sectors, in light of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.
