Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan participated in a high-level meeting on Syria on Saturday with several involving regional and international stakeholders in Qatar.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the meeting highlighted the attendance of foreign ministers from Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, and Egypt, alongside representatives from the Astana track countries, Iran, Turkey, and Russia.
Furthermore, UN Special Envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen, took part in the sessions to review the collaborative international effort to address the ongoing crisis in Syria.

Held on the sidelines of the 22nd Doha Forum, the meeting delved into the latest developments in Syria, emphasizing the forum’s commitment to boosting dialogue and finding solutions to address regional challenges.
Crucially, the officials stressed the significance of continuous close consultations and coordination between them to find out an effective political solution to the Syrian crisis.
Moreover, they noted that there should be keenness to fulfill the aspirations of the Syrian people for security, stability, and justice.

In the light of this, the participants considered that the continuation of the Syrian crisis as a dangerous development for Syria’s safety and regional and international security.
Therefore, they stressed the importance of supporting joint international efforts to increase humanitarian aid to the Syrian people.
The officials also demanded to put an end to the military operations ahead of launching a comprehensive political process in accordance with Security Council Resolution 2254.
