Saudi Foreign Minister Heads Kingdom’s Delegation at G20 Summit

The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, has on Sunday arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to lead Saudi Arabia’s delegation at the G20 Summit, on behalf of the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

In addition to the Saudi Foreign Minister, the Kingdom’s delegation to the G20 Summit includes the Saudi Finance Minister, Mohamed Al-Jadaan, and the Deputy Minister of Finance and Saudi Sherpa to the G20, Abdulmohsen Al-Khalaf.

At the G20 Summit, the Saudi delegation will take part in several meetings that will discuss the latest political and economic developments on the global stage, as well as exploring ways to enhance multilateral cooperation to achieve global prosperity and growth.

The G20 leaders will gather at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on November 18-19, 2024, where they will approve the agreements made throughout the year and explore ways to address global challenges. The Summit will focus on social inclusion, global governance reform, and energy transition.

Furthermore, the G20 Summit’s opening ceremony will feature the launch of the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, an initiative that aims to mobilize countries and international organizations to accelerate efforts to combat hunger and poverty by 2030.

Moreover, discussions at the G20 Summit will touch upon ways to modernize the main international institutions, such as the UN, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the World Trade Organization.

Meanwhile, the second day of the G20 Summit will focus on energy transition, discussing strategies to promote a greener and more sustainable global economy.
