Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed a range of regional issues with his counterparts from Egypt and Türkiye, alongside a senior US official, in Cairo.
According to a statement by the Saudi Foreign Ministry, Prince Faisal on Saturday joined four-way talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Senior Advisor to the US President for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos.

The meeting focused on discussing the latest regional developments, most notably the situations in Sudan and Libya and efforts made toward establishing security and stability in the two countries.
Regional Developments
During the meeting, the four officials stressed the need for supporting efforts aimed at preserving Libya’s unity, respecting its sovereignty, advancing the political process and unifying the country’s state institutions, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tamim Khalaf said in a statement.
Moreover, discussions addressed the recently signed US-Iran memorandum of understanding (MoU), stressing the importance of building on this pivotal step to reduce tensions and enhance regional security and stability.

The four officials also discussed the Palestinian cause, particularly the recent developments in Gaza, as well as developments in Africa and ways to strengthen joint coordination to boost security and stability across the continent.
Saudi-Egyptian Meeting
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Saudi Foreign Minister held a bilateral meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, during which they reviewed bilateral relations and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation across various fields.
The two ministers also exchanged views on several regional issues, including the situations in Palestine, Sudan, Libya, Syria and Lebanon, in addition to the Iran file, the Red Sea and the Horn of Africa.
Regional Discussions
Prince Faisal and Abdelatty later joined a trilateral meeting with Fidan, during which they discussed developments in Gaza, Sudan, Libya, Iran, and the Horn of Africa, according to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
The three ministers underscored the importance of continued coordination and consultation to support regional security and stability and bolster efforts to resolve crises.
Cairo is set to host a quadrilateral meeting on Sunday, bringing together the top diplomats of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Türkiye and Pakistan “discuss regional developments and exchange views on issues related to peace, security and stability” in light of the US-Iran deal.
