Saudi, Egyptian FMs Discuss Developments in Gaza

The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, has met with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, in Riyadh, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

During their meeting on Thursday, the two ministers reviewed relations between Saudi Arabia and Egypt and explored avenues for strengthening ties and expanding cooperation across various fields.

Moreover, they discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing Israeli aggressions against the Palestinians in the enclave.

The Saudi and Egyptian foreign ministers also addressed Israel’s blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and its repercussions for regional security and stability.

In the light of this, they stressed the need for unifying efforts to ensure the region’s security and stability.

Abdelatty is on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, during which he will hold meetings with several senior Saudi officials, according to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.

The visit’s agenda includes political, economic and investment cooperation between Riyadh and Cairo, as well as discussions on regional and international issues of common concern.

It underscores both countries’ commitment to continued consultation and coordination on various bilateral cooperation files and enhancing integration mechanisms between the Kingdom and Egypt across various fields, in line with the deeply-rooted historic ties between the two nations.
