The Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Saud Al-Sati, held discussions with the Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, in Tehran, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
On Sunday, Araghchi received Al-Sati and his accompanying delegation in the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s headquarters in Tehran, as part of their official visit to the Iranian capital.
During their meeting, the officials reviewed relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran and explored ways to further strengthen them and expand cooperation.
Moreover, the Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister and Iran’s top diplomat exchanged views on several regional and international issues of common concern.

According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, discussions between Al-Sati and Araghchi focused on the situation in Gaza and Israeli violations in Syria and Lebanon. In the light of this, the Iranian Foreign Minister condemned the continuation of Israeli crimes in Gaza, Syria and Lebanon as “the gravest threat to regional and global peace and security.”
Araghchi also stressed the importance of reinforcing cooperation and coordination among regional countries and across the Islamic world to contain Israel’s “warmongering and lawlessness in the region.”
Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Iran, Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anzi, attended the meeting, according to SPA.
