Saudi Defense Minister renews support for Yemen’s “Leadership Council”
The Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, received recently at his residence, during his private visit to the Kingdom, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Minister of Defense.
The Minister of Defense conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council and members of the Council, and their wishes for security, stability, and peace for Yemen and the Yemeni people.
The head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council conveyed to the Minister of Defense his greetings to the Saudi leadership. During the reception, they reviewed the efforts aimed at achieving security, stability, and peace in Yemen, and discussed the latest developments in the Yemeni arena and the efforts exerted towards them, in addition to reviewing the humanitarian and development relief works for the Yemeni people.
The Saudi Minister of Defense affirmed the support of the coalition led by the Kingdom of the Yemeni Presidential Council, and its blessing of the positive initiatives of the Council with the international community to bring security, peace, and stability to Yemen, and to end the Yemeni crisis, to reach a comprehensive political solution that will move Yemen to peace and development.
The meeting was attended by the Saudi ambassador to Yemen, Muhammad Saeed Al Jaber, while the members of the Presidential Leadership Council, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, Sultan Al-Arada, Abdullah Al-Alimi Bawazir, Othman Majali, Abdul Rahman Abu Zara, Tariq Saleh, and Faraj Al-Bahsani, attended the meeting.
