Saudi Defense Minister, Lebanese Army Commander Discuss Latest Developments
The Saudi Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, met on Thursday with the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
During the meeting, both officials reviewed relations between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, with a focus on the military and defense sectors. Moreover, the Saudi Defense Minister and the Lebanese Army Commander discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the efforts made towards addressing them.

The meeting saw the attendance of several senior Saudi officials, including the Advisor to the Foreign Minister Lebanese Affairs, Prince Yazid bin Mohammed bin Fahd Al Farhan, and the Director General of the Office of the Minister of Defense, Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif.
Furthermore, the Director of the Office of the Lebanese Army Commander, Brigadier General Emad Kheris, attended the meeting.
General Aoun arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday upon an invitation from the Saudi Chief of the General Staff, General Fayyad bin Hamid Al-Ruwaili, reported the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA).
The Lebanese Army Command said in a statement that the discussion will focus on “cooperation between the two armies and ways to support the Lebanese Armed Forces, particularly in light of the current challenges they face in carrying out their mission to safeguard Lebanon‘s security and stability.”
