Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported that, on Thursday, the Jordanian King received a phone call from the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. According to Petra, the call covered the strong historical relations between the two countries and peoples, and all developments in the region, especially the tragic conditions in Gaza.

Petra added that the Jordanian King expressed to the Saudi Crown Prince his pride in the level of Jordanian-Saudi relations, and his keenness to strengthen them in all fields.

The Jordanian King reiterated the necessity of finding a political horizon for the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution. The horizon guarantees the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Last February, Saudi Arabia and Jordan engaged in high-level discussions aimed at strengthening their cultural ties.

The talks, involving key representatives from both countries, focused on exploring innovative ways to promote cultural exchange and understanding. Central to these discussions was the intention to create platforms for artistic, educational, and cultural collaborations that could serve as bridges between the peoples of Saudi and Jordan.

During the same month, Saudi Arabia and Jordan have inked a cooperation deal specifically designed to support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

At the heart of this agreement is the shared vision of Saudi Arabia and Jordan to enhance their bilateral relations through economic collaboration. By focusing on SMEs, the deal acknowledges the crucial role these enterprises play in driving economic diversification, job creation, and innovation.

One of the core elements of the deal is providing SMEs with greater access to markets and resources across both countries. This includes easing trade barriers, facilitating smoother cross-border transactions, and providing SMEs with the necessary tools and knowledge to expand their operations internationally.
