Saudi Crown Prince Meets French President at Elysee
French President HE Emmanuel Macron received Saudi Crown Prince HRH Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz in Paris, to hold an expanded bilateral meeting.
Upon arrival at the Elysee Palace, the French president welcomed HRH Saudi Crown Prince and wished him and his companions a pleasant stay in France. The Crown Prince expressed his happiness with the visit, SPA reported.
French government ministers and several senior officials welcomed the Saudi Crown Prince, with the French President greeting the princes and ministers.
During an extensive bilateral meeting with delegations from both countries present, the Saudi Crown Prince and the French President reviewed the historical and strategic relations between the two countries and discussed ways to develop them in all fields, serving the interests of both friendly peoples. They also discussed the latest international and regional events and coordinated joint efforts regarding them.
The meeting was attended by HH Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs; HH Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Saudi Minister of Culture; HE Mohammad bin AbdulMalek Al-Shaikh, Saudi State Minister and Member of the Council of Ministers; HE Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Saudi Minister of Finance; HE Yasir Al Rumayyan. Governor of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF); Dr. Bandar bin Abid Al-Rashid, Secretary of the Crown Prince; and Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to France Fahd Al-Ruwaili.
On the French side, the meeting was attended by HE Catherine Colonna, Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic; French Ambassador to the Kingdom Ludovic Pouille; Secretary-General of the Presidency Alexis Kohler; Chief of Special Staff Air Force General Fabien Mandon; Diplomatic Advisor to the Sherpa G20-G7 for the President of the Republic Emmanuel Bon; Middle East and North Africa Advisor Patrick Durel; and Export and Trade Policy Advisor Victoire de Fournas.
