Saudi Attorney General inaugurates “Child Affairs Unit”
Saudi Attorney General Saud Al-Mojeb inaugurated the “Child Affairs Unit” this week, which aims to enable children to obtain all their rights guaranteed by the system in conjunction with International Children’s Day.
The unit takes into account a child’s well-being and interests. It is likewise responsible for the governance and regulation of the application of legal procedures in cases in which the child is one of the victims. It also aims to verify the social and welfare procedures that have been implemented in cooperation with the relevant authorities to provide a safe social environment for him.
Al-Mojeb said the leadership has carefully protected society and maintained its stability and security. Furthermore, it seeks to protect the child from abuse, neglect, discrimination, and exploitation. It also ensures a positive environment in which he can develop his skills and abilities.
He affirmed the Saudi Public Prosecution’s commitment to preserving the family’s entity and stability. This includes protecting children, providing them with a safe environment, and providing all expertise and support for everything that leads to child protection and stability.
On the other hand, the Saudi Public Prosecution and a number of relevant authorities held a social event for children entitled “Future Leaders”, in which several children participated.
