Saudi Aramco proposes hydrogen as the only solution to achieve zero emissions
Aramco expects to be carbon-neutral by 2050, confirming plans to expand blue hydrogen production.

He added, “The investment in gas will allow the disposal of a large part of the burning of liquid materials in Saudi Arabia.”
“The difficulty with carbon capture and sequencing is cost,” he said, adding that “we are aiming to extend blue hydrogen and invest in technology to lower cost.”
“We need an orderly energy transition, a complete picture, and the benefits of energy reliability and safety,” he said, adding that “the sustainability report will be released in the second quarter of 2022.”
