The Saudi Ministry of Interior’s Absher Business platform has introduced revised fees for seven key services. These changes aim to streamline processes and enhance service efficiency for businesses and individuals.
Revised Fees for Key Services
According to Okaz newspaper, the updated fees include SR103.5 for extending exit and reentry visas and SR51.75 for renewing residency permits (Iqama). Final exit visa fees now stand at SR70, while issuing a new Iqama costs SR51.75. Additionally, requesting an employee report will cost SR28.75, and updating passport information for expatriates is set at SR69.
Absher Business clarified via its X (formerly Twitter) account that these fees apply to value-added services processed through the platform. Importantly, these charges are separate from the annual subscription packages employers typically purchase.
In addition to fee revisions, Absher has introduced new services to improve user experience. For instance, the Absher Individuals platform now allows host individuals to report cases of absconding for visitors on personal or family visit visas.
Absher outlined five conditions for submitting absconding reports. The visitor’s visa must be expired, and the report can only be filed between seven and 14 days after the visa’s expiry. Each visitor can only have one report filed, and once submitted, the report cannot be cancelled.
Streamlining Services for Businesses and Individuals
These updates reflect Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to modernize its digital platforms and provide efficient services. The revised fees and new features aim to benefit both businesses and individuals, ensuring smoother transactions and improved compliance.
By implementing these changes, Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen its digital infrastructure, aligning with Vision 2030 goals to improve the quality of life for residents and businesses alike.
