Saudi Arabia, United States Strengthen Collaboration in ORAN Technologies

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology recently hosted a workshop in partnership with the United States, bringing together representatives from over 20 public and private organizations. The event aimed to advance digital collaboration, foster innovation in the communications sector, and promote strategic partnerships in cutting-edge technologies.

Key participants included global technology leaders like Nokia, Qualcomm, Mavenir, AT&T, HP, NVIDIA, Intel, DISH, Echostar, Rakuten, and Dell. Discussions focused on leveraging Open Radio Access Network (ORAN) technologies to create a flexible, efficient, and sustainable digital infrastructure. These efforts align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which emphasizes the growth of the digital economy and long-term sustainability.

The workshop showcased the latest advancements in ORAN technology and explored strategies for digital sustainability. Participants exchanged ideas on improving network efficiency and innovation while underscoring the importance of international cooperation in driving technological progress.
