Saudi Arabia to Participate in Shanghai International Film Festival 2025

Saudi Arabia’s Film Commission will participate in the Shanghai International Film Festival 2025 to foster cultural cooperation with China, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Set to take place from June 13-22 in Shanghai, China, the festival stands out as the largest film festival in China and the only Chinese festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF).

Through this participation, the commission seeks to boost international ties, promote Saudi stunning film locations, as well as highlight the Kingdom’s visual and geographical richness.

Importantly, the festival will provide the commission with a valuable platform to explore co-production and distribution opportunities for Saudi films in the Chinese market.

Interestingly, the film commission will organize a Saudi pavilion in the festival’s market from June 21-25 to showcase the commission’s programs and initiatives.

Moreover, the commission will engage with industry professionals and highlight the creative and commercial potential of the Kingdom’s film sector.

With the participation of a Saudi delegation, the pavilion will also underscore the competitive advantages of the Saudi film industry to enhance cooperation with industry experts from all over the world.
