In the aftermath of last week’s devastating earthquake disaster that struck the southern part of the country at dawn, Saudi Arabia announced Tuesday the opening of an air bridge to transport aid to Turkey and Syria.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them – directed today, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action to operate an air bridge and provide health, shelter, food, and logistical assistance to alleviate the effects of the earthquake on the Syrian and Turkish peoples and the organization of a popular campaign through the “Sahem” platform to help the earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey.
His Excellency the Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, confirmed that the assistance provided comes out of the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God support them – to stand by the affected people of the Syrian and Turkish peoples and mitigate the effects of the devastating earthquake that caused huge losses of lives and property in Syria and Turkey.
In announcing that various food, shelter, and medical aid would be provided for the afflicted as a result of the generous directives, His Excellency thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God preserve them – for their noble and unsurprising stances, which extend the humanitarian role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in standing with the affected and the needy all over the world through various crises and trials.
