Saudi Arabia Slams Israel’s Gaza Aid Blockade, Urges Global Action

Saudi Arabia on Sunday denounced Israel’s decision to halt humanitarian aid to Gaza, labeling the move a violation of international law and ““blackmail and collective punishment,” stressing it breaches international law.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement urging global action to hold Israel accountable amid escalating tensions.

“The Kingdom renews its call on the international community to stop these serious Israeli violations, activate international accountability mechanisms, and ensure sustainable access to aid,” the statement said, as aid trucks remain blocked at borders. Officials warned the decision worsens Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.

 

 

The condemnation follows Israel’s recent blockade of aid trucks, escalating tensions after a six-week truce. However, Hamas urged Egyptian and Qatari mediators to resolve the standoff.

Israel Proposes Temporary Ceasefire During Ramadan

Meanwhile, Israel accepted a U.S.-backed proposal for a temporary truce covering Ramadan and Passover. If finalized, hostilities would pause until late April.

Saudi Arabia reiterated demands for accountability and sustainable aid pathways. The Ministry emphasized protecting civilians and upholding global humanitarian obligations.

As Gaza’s humanitarian disaster worsens, Riyadh pressures world leaders to intervene. The Kingdom vows ongoing advocacy for Palestinian rights and stability in the region.
