Saudi Arabia is diligently readying its mosques and prayer areas for Eid Al-Fitr across the Kingdom, ensuring worshippers enjoy a seamless experience. Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Asheikh, has directed all ministry branches to hold prayers in designated locations. This year, the ministry focuses on safety, cleanliness, and comfort for everyone.
Nationwide Preparations Underway
The ministry has prepared mosques and open-air areas extensively, reports the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). Over 6,000 men and women monitor these sites, ensuring safety measures are followed. This effort supports the large crowds expected during Ramadan’s final days.
Prayers will occur in all mosques, except those near Eid prayer areas or rarely used in some villages. Residents in those areas will use local prayer spaces instead. Early preparations include maintenance, cleaning, and service checks for a peaceful prayer setting. Additionally, if rain falls, prayers will shift indoors to protect worshippers’ safety and comfort.
Prayer Timing and Locations
The Eid prayer will start 15 minutes after sunrise, following the Umm Al-Qura calendar, confirms the SPA. Across the Kingdom, 19,887 mosques and prayer areas stand ready to welcome worshippers. Cleaning teams have sterilized these spaces, maintaining high hygiene standards. Technicians have also serviced electrical systems, air conditioning, and audio equipment for optimal comfort.
In Makkah, the ministry anticipates many pilgrims and visitors for Eid Al-Fitr. The prayer will take place in the central area around the Grand Mosque. Furthermore, 562 mosques in Makkah will serve worshippers, ensuring a memorable spiritual experience.
Saudi Arabia’s thorough preparations reflect its dedication to making Eid Al-Fitr a joyous occasion for all.
