Saudi Arabia responds to the US warns of a new epidemic

The Saudi Ministry of Health’s Undersecretary for Infectious Diseases, Abdullah Asiri, reacted to the American Academy of Medicine’s warning of a possible future pandemic that might be worse than the Corona pandemic.

Corona does not represent a pandemic scenario, according to the academy, because it did not kill a big number of people, although the next influenza is projected to kill roughly 33 million people.

“The American warning is not new, as plagues and pandemics have occurred since God created life on Earth,” Asiri said in a tweet to him.

“The academy claims that the influenza pandemic of 1919 killed more people than “Covid-19,” “
