Saudi Arabia recalls Ford cars due to defective airbags

The Saudi Ministry of Commerce has issued a recall for Ford Mondeo vehicles due to a flaw in the airbag inflator that might cause it to rupture and emit metal shards, increasing the risk of damage or death in the case of a collision.

Saudi Trade disclosed on its Twitter page that the model of the recalled cars is 2008-2017, stating that there are 808 vehicles in the Kingdom.

It’s worth noting that the Saudi auto industry recently issued a recall for 948 Mercedes S-Class automobiles from the year 2021 owing to an airbag malfunction.

In addition, there is a fault with the programming of the front passenger airbag control unit, which might result in it not working properly, increasing the risk of injury in the event of an accident.
