Saudi Arabia recommits to wearing a mask & distancing everywhere
Saudi Arabia has re-imposed adherence to a variety of preventive measures, the most important of which is wearing masks, in response to a spike in infections with the new omicron mutant from Corona around the world.
The re-compulsion to wear the muzzle and the use of social distancing measures in all venues (closed and open), activities and events, was stated today by an official source in the Ministry of Interior.
According to SPA, this measurement started at 7 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021.
This coincided with an upsurge in infection cases across the Kingdom, with the Ministry of Health reporting 602 new infections, 147 recovery cases, and one death on Tuesday.
Precautions should be simplified
Last October, the Saudi Ministry of Interior announced that health measures will be eased due to advances in immunizing society and a drop in the number of cases.
The judgment at the time included not requiring the muzzle to be worn in open areas – except for the excluded areas – but yet requiring it to be worn in enclosed areas.
