Saudi Arabia Reaffirms Unwavering Support for Palestinian Statehood

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement reiterating the Kingdom’s unwavering support for establishing an independent Palestinian state with Eastern Jerusalem as capital. Furthermore, it emphatically affirmed Saudi Arabia’s steadfast stance remains completely unyielding and unequivocally rejects any attempts at negotiations.

Royal Endorsement of Palestinian Rights

This reaffirmation comes in the wake of a clear and unequivocal declaration by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. In his address to the Shura Council on September 18, 2024, the Crown Prince emphasized Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to the Palestinian cause. Moreover, he stressed that Saudi Arabia will persistently pursue Palestinian independence while firmly rejecting diplomatic ties with Israel without compromise.

Furthermore, during the Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh on November 11, 2024, the Crown Prince reiterated this steadfast position. He called for the international community to recognize the State of Palestine and urged intensified efforts to end the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories.

Rejecting Injustice and Occupation

Saudi Arabia has also vehemently rejected any infringement on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. This includes the rejection of Israeli settlement policies, the annexation of Palestinian lands, and any attempts to displace Palestinians from their homeland. The Kingdom insists that the international community must alleviate the immense humanitarian suffering endured by the Palestinian people.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that its unwavering stance was thoroughly conveyed to both former and present US administration. Saudi Arabia asserts that enduring, fair peace remains utterly impossible unless determined Palestinians fully secure their universally recognized, legitimate rights.
