Saudi Arabia provides a “Personal Visit” visa that allows the performance of the Umrah
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the mechanism for obtaining a “personal visit” visa, which enables visitors to enter the Kingdom’s lands to visit their friends or acquaintances who are Saudi citizens.
The visa will allow the possibility of moving between the regions and cities of the Kingdom, performing Umrah and visiting rituals in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, visiting religious and historical sites, and attending cultural events.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that visa applications would be submitted through the “visa” platform using easy and convenient electronic steps.
The Ministry explained that citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia can invite their friends to visit Saudi Arabia and perform Umrah by submitting a request for a personal visit on the visa platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and applying for a “visit” request.
After that, the application is processed and a “personal visit visa document” is issued, whose data can be reviewed through the “invitation request” inquiry service, according to the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that the visitor can complete the process of paying fees and medical insurance after filling out the “entry visa application” form in the visa platform, and then submitting the application and passport to the Kingdom’s embassy or consulate in the guest country or through the approved centers or offices of the embassy or consulate.
You will receive your passport after receiving your entry visa, and you will be able to travel to the Kingdom by land, air, or sea.
This step comes within the framework of efforts to increase the number of foreign visits, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The Ministry pointed out that it is possible to inquire about submitted applications by entering the visa platform, selecting the “Inquiry” icon, filling in the required data, then clicking on “Inquiry” to review the previously submitted applications.
