Saudi Cabinet approves the establishment of the National Center for Transportation
The Saudi Cabinet headed by King Salman approved, during the session held this afternoon, Tuesday, at Al Yamama Palace in Riyadh. This is the establishment of the National Center for Transportation Safety.
At the beginning of the session, the King briefed the cabinet on the content of the message he sent to the Emir of Kuwait. He also briefed the cabinet on the letter he received from the President of Azerbaijan.
The cabinet then dealt with all the meetings and conversations that took place between officials in Saudi Arabia and their counterparts in several countries in the past few days.
The Kingdom reiterated its support for initiatives to expand the culture of conversation and create communication bridges across other civilizations. This was during its participation in the UN Organization for the Alliance of Civilizations’ ninth global summit, in Fez, Morocco.
As part of domestic affairs, the Council of Ministers approved what the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister announced about the general plan for King Salman International Airport. This plan is to make Riyadh a global destination for transport, trade, and tourism.
The cabinet affirmed the keenness and attention the state attaches to the comprehensive development of all regions and cities of the Kingdom. This includes raising the quality of life and improving basic services and infrastructure.
Ministers reviewed the economic performance indicators during the third quarter of 2022 and the increase in non-oil commodities exports of 13.1% over the same period last year.
Decisions:
– Discussing a draft memorandum of understanding for the exchange of information and technical cooperation on nuclear control issues between the Saudi and Czech authorities.
– Approval of a draft memorandum of understanding to protect data and information exchanged in joint security projects between Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
-Discussing and signing a draft general agreement for cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the Dominican Republic.
– Approving the establishment of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Sao Tome, and signing a protocol to that effect.
– Approval of raising the presidency of the Saudi side in the joint Saudi-Argentine committee to the level of a minister.
- Signing a draft air services agreement between Saudi Arabia and Chile.
_ Discussing a draft memorandum of understanding between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in the field of education and training.
– Establishment of a center under the name “National Center for Transportation Safety”.
– Extending the commitment contract of the Saudi Public Transport Company from 3/2/2022 to 12/31/2023, or until the completion of the start-up in all regions according to the updated contracts.
