Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has officially commenced the Hajj 1447 AH (2026) registration process for prospective pilgrims. Significantly, the Ministry utilized the modern Nusuk Hajj digital platform for this groundbreaking global outreach initiative.
Consequently, this strategic move enables Muslims residing in minority communities worldwide to apply directly for their sacred pilgrimage without utilizing traditional intermediaries. The Ministry confirmed that registration successfully began precisely on 15 Rabi’ Al Thani 1447 AH, corresponded to 7 October.
Furthermore, officials strongly emphasized that the Nusuk Hajj website remains the sole authorized channel for the new Direct Hajj Program applications.
Enhancing Transparency and Pilgrim Protection
The Ministry launched this essential initiative primarily to streamline the registration process and substantially enhance administrative transparency for all applicants. Additionally, this direct digital approach effectively protects prospective pilgrims from fraudulent agents and unapproved, deceitful online platforms.
The platform delivers an integrated digital experience, meticulously supervised by the Ministry’s dedicated technical and administrative teams. Initially, the Ministry clarified that the current phase focuses exclusively upon new account registration and essential pilgrim data entry.
Consequently, the Ministry confirms it will announce detailed package selection and subsequent booking schedules at a later, specified date.
Mandatory Registration Steps and Security
To successfully register, applicants must first visit the official Nusuk portal and accurately select their current country of residence. Applicants then submit their valid email address, agree to all terms, and instantly verify their new account using a specific one-time password.
After setting a secure password, users must subsequently upload several required documents, including a clear passport and a recent personal photo. Importantly, the system allows users to conveniently add up to seven eligible family members under a single, streamlined registration account.
Moreover, the platform offers an opportunity for qualified individuals seeking to serve as official Hajj guides during the pilgrimage. Aspiring guides simply select the “Become a Guide” option, then submit the necessary application forms for final official approval. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah consistently reiterates its stern warning against using any unauthorized registration channels.
Consequently, officials specifically cautioned pilgrims against third parties, private travel offices, or various unapproved external websites. Therefore, only licensed service providers achieving approval through Nusuk Hajj can legally facilitate official and confirmed Hajj bookings.
