Saudi Arabia Launches Air Bridge to Deliver Aid to Lebanon

Saudi Arabia has established an “air bridge” to deliver crucial aid to Lebanon, responding to the ongoing conflict. A cargo plane departed from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, carrying over 40 tons of essential medical supplies and food aid, Al Ekhbariya reported. The relief team accompanying the shipment will assist in rescue operations.

 

Intensifying Conflict in Lebanon

Since September 23, Israel has intensified its air campaign targeting Hezbollah strongholds in Lebanon. The ongoing strikes have claimed more than 1,150 lives and forced over a million people to flee their homes. The humanitarian situation continues to worsen as hostilities escalate.

International Support Grows

In addition to Saudi Arabia, other nations have mobilized aid to support the Lebanese people. The United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Romania, and France have also sent humanitarian assistance, demonstrating global solidarity.

Saudi Arabia’s Broader Peace Efforts

Saudi Arabia remains committed to peace in the Middle East. The kingdom has called for an immediate ceasefire, urging all parties to prioritize diplomacy and dialogue. Additionally, Saudi officials are working with international partners to de-escalate tensions and provide relief for affected civilians in Gaza and Lebanon.

The Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to mediate in regional conflicts reflect its dedication to maintaining stability and promoting humanitarian aid.
