Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the US continue to participate in “Gulf Shooting” drills.
The “Gulf Shooting 2021” exercise, which includes the Royal Saudi Land Forces, Kuwaiti Land Forces, and the US “Spartan” unit, will continue for the eighth day in a straight at Al-Udaya’a Complex in Kuwait. This activity started on Sunday and will go through November 18th.
“The first phase of the “Shooting Gulf 2021″ exercise was finished with the participation of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, the Kuwaiti Land Force, and the US Army,” said Colonel Nayef Al-Otaibi, the exercise’s commander. The exercise’s primary objectives were met, to boost military relations and collaborative defense cooperation amongst countries. Several military tactics, command and control operations training, direct and indirect firing training, and improvements in military equipment compatibility and coordination were introduced.
Al-Otaibi said the exercise will “strengthen the bonds of military and defense cooperation to accomplish the common goals of the armed forces of the nations participating in the exercise, as well as to cement the principles and foundations of coordination and joint work between them.”
“Training was conducted in the field of planning and implementing command and control procedures, commanding the forces and achieving rapid response to emergencies for joint ground operations, as well as developing skills to implement tactical shooting for infantry and armored units in conjunction with close air support and administrative support operations,” he said.
